Dr Annie Majoka – GP Partner
Dr Majoka joined the practice in 2014. She does 7 sessions a week. She deals with all aspects of general practice. Her main areas of interest are sexual health, contraception and cardio-vascular medicine. She also runs a coil clinic.
Dr Aarti Bansal - Salaried GP
Dr Bansal qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1999 and moved to Sheffield in 2001 to undertake GP training. She completed her MRCGP with distinction in 2005. She joined Abbey Lane Surgery in November 2016 and works Monday mornings and Wednesday all day. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and is committed to person-centred care. Dr Bansal's main interests are in medical education, which she has been involved in for over 10 years. She has a Masters in Higher Education and works at the University of Sheffield 2 days a week.
Dr Gill Wood - Salaried GP
Dr Wood has worked as a GP for 24 years in 2 other practices in Sheffield. She has an interest in women’s health, mental health issues and performs some minor surgical procedures including joint injections.
Outside work hours, Dr Wood loves to take her rescue dog for long walks in the woods and is a keen gardener when the weather allows.
Anne qualified as a RGN in 1982. She has worked in primary care since 1990, initially as a practice nurse, then in 2001 she gained a B.Med Sci degree (Hons) in Specialist Community Nursing and Health Care Practice and in 2004 she qualified as an independent prescriber. Anne's interests in acute health problems led her to undertake an MSc in Advanced Professional Development. Anne can mostly undertake same day appointments within the practice and undertake appropriate referrals and medication reviews
Karen Goddard (SRN), our Practice Nurse, is involved in the management of chronic conditions, including diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure and heart disease. She also gives vaccinations, travel advice and it is not necessary to see a doctor first.
